So,
for the third year running, we'll attempt to finish off what
we started..... Much soul searching and examining of motives,
not to mention a lot of hard earned cash, and I'm left with
the inescapable thought; "This thing is do able".
Having met up with Pete and confirmed our determination to
"give it our best shot", we're off to New York on
23rd May and plan to leave new York on or about 1st June.
As ever we're grateful to the supporters who have stood by
us, and given us fresh hope and legs.
Our progress will be logged on the website of the Ocean Rowing
Society and we are contactable by text messages to our satellite
'phone. As ever, progress will depend largely on the weather,
but I understand there's a carnival in Mousehole in late August,
so it would be wonderful to come in then. (Or sooner!)
My thanks as ever to the Metropoltan Police for allowing me
to carry over long saved Annual Leave for another year to
make this third attempt. Also to the wonderful folk of the
Liberty Yacht Club in Jersey City. Let's hope everyone finally
has something to celebrate this year.
